The Memorial Day Parade will start at 8:15 am at the corner of Culver Street and East High Street, make its way to the Fire Museum on N. Doughty Avenue, and down West Main Street to S. Bridge Street. Families participating in the Family Fun Ride may join the parade as it continues down S. Bridge Street to the Somerville New Cemetery. We invite all residents to join us along the parade route to salute a veteran!
Parade route
The parade starts at 8:15 am sharp and will take about 1 hour to reach the cemetery.
- Start at Culver Street and East High Street (World War I monument)
- Travel westbound from High Street to N. Doughty Avenue
- Make a brief stop at the Fire Museum
- Stop at West Main Street to place a wreath at the memorial
- Travel eastbound down W. Main Street to S. Bridge Street
- Families participating in the Family Fun Ride are welcome to join the parade (back)
- S. Bridge Street to the Somerville New Cemetery (192 S. Bridge St)
Ceremony
Please join us for a ceremony, at 10 am, at the Somerville New Cemetery (Veterans Circle).
