December 20: NJ American Water is aware of taste and odor issues and will continue flushing the water system. We are anticipating 1 to 2 inches of snow tonight into Saturday morning. Black ice is possible. Residents have 12 daylight hours to clear snow from sidewalks once the precipitation has ended.

Weather Alert

We will be experiencing some rain this week, with possible thunderstorms producing heavy rain quickly. Please stay tuned for additional updates throughout the week.

Updates

  • August 9: We are expecting severe weather and heavy rain today. Tornadoes and wind gusts may cause downed trees and power lines. Flash flooding is possible. If your vehicle is in a low-lying or flood-prone area, we suggest moving it to higher ground. Lepp Pool will remain closed today. We expect to open the pool again tomorrow (Saturday), at noon.
  • August 8: Lepp Pool is closed today due to inclement weather.
  • August 7: We’re expecting some rain today and Thursday, with possible flash flooding in low-lying and flood prone areas. Severe thunderstorms are possible on Friday.
  • August 6: There is a chance for flash flooding in low- lying areas. We recommend taking precautions and moving vehicles to higher ground. Parking will be free in all municipal lots on Tuesday night (when the rain starts) and all day on Wednesday.

Stay safe

  • Make sure gutters are not clogged and storm drains near your house are clear of debris so water can drain quickly
  • Don’t drive into high standing water
  • Never drive around the barriers blocking a flooded road
