The Borough of Somerville collected 5,759 pounds of non-perishable food for 3 local food pantries! In addition, a total of $1,400 was donated to the food pantries as part of the FoodStock Food Challenge.
Approximately 13 towns in Somerset County participated in this friendly competition to see which municipality could collect the most food (by weight) and help replenish their local food pantries.
The Borough is proud to announce that WE WON this challenge! A total of 18,958.5 pounds of food was collected and given to Somerset County food pantries and Somerville was declared the winner of the challenge with 5,759 pounds.
