December 20: NJ American Water is aware of taste and odor issues and will continue flushing the water system. We are anticipating 1 to 2 inches of snow tonight into Saturday morning. Black ice is possible. Residents have 12 daylight hours to clear snow from sidewalks once the precipitation has ended.

The Station and Landfill redevelopment area

This is the largest redevelopment area in the Borough and region that is development ready.

It consists of approximately 140 acres, bisected by Route 206. Approximately 30-acres west of Route 206 are wetlands and will not be developed. This portion will form part of the Somerset County Raritan River Greenway.

The portion to the east of Route 206 is divided into three broad areas:

  • Station (referred to as the Hub)
  • Stream (Green Seam) and wetlands
  • Landfill proper which faces Route 206 North
