The Somerville Public Library offers fun activities, games, workshops, and programs for all ages. Check out what’s happening in March!

Infants, toddlers, and pre-school

Blocks and Bricks

Children aged 18 months and older, along with their caregivers, can explore creativity through free play with a variety of blocks and LEGO bricks.

Baby/Toddler Storytime

This interactive program is filled with brain-building rhymes, movement, songs, and stories. This program is for ages birth to 3 years, with a caregiver.

Family Storytime

Introduce your child to the beginnings of storytime in this interactive program featuring rhymes, movement, songs, and stories.

American Sign Language Storytime

Explore American Sign Language vocabulary, speech, and expression. Ages birth – 5 years with caregivers.

Elementary school students

Storybook STEM

Read a picture book as a family to inspire your imagination, and then get creative with a STEM activity related to the book. Supplies are available while they last from March 1 to March 7.

Read to a Therapy Dog

Practice your reading skills by reading a story to a certified therapy dog. This activity is for kids grades K to 4.

Art Share

Share your art and inspiration with other artists! This program is for both Adults and Teens.

The Unraveled: Somerville’s Knitting and Crochet Group

Make creations for yourself and your loved ones, or donate to those in need. First and third Saturdays each month. For experts, novices, and everyone in between.

Dungeons and Dragons

For new and experienced players. This will be a participant-led program.

English Conversation Group

Practice speaking English in a friendly setting. Intermediate English skills are required. Hosted by SCLSNJ staff in partnership with the Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County.

Jason Goldman, of Flower to the People, will teach you all about the wonderful world of native plant gardening.

Find out about deductibles, how to find a doctor, what’s the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 or in-network and out-of-network providers, and more. Presented by the Center For Family Services.
