How do I get a building permit?

How do I get a copy of a police report?

Allow 5 working days for any police report to be ready. Call the Records Bureau at (908) 725-0331 prior to picking up a report at Police Headquarters or access a report online for a fee.

What items can be recycled?

Go to the county website for information about common recyclables, including cardboard boxes, cans, glass and plastic bottles.  

How do I get a copy of a birth certificate?

Complete the online VitalChek application to request a copy of a birth certificate online. Online requests have additional service and shipping fees. To request a certified copy of a birth certificate from Borough Hall, submit this application and call (908) 725-2300, ext. 1980 to schedule an appointment.
