Work schedule
March to July 2025
- Work dates: Monday to Friday (March 10 to end of July)
- Work hours: 7 am to 4 pm
- Some night work on county roads (dates to be announced)
Monday, May 26: Construction will not interfere with the annual Tour of Somerville bike race. Work within the route of the race will stop and the roadway will be paved 2-3 weeks ahead of the race. Work will resume the following week.
Fall 2025
Final street restorations (paving) will start 90 days after the installation work is completed.
Traffic plan
- Veterans Memorial Drive West, Mountain Avenue, and Somerset Street will remain open
- Expect alternating traffic patterns during work hours
- Emergency vehicles and local traffic will be allowed access during construction
