2021 On-Line Dog License Renewal
The license fee is $12.00 for neutered dogs or $15.00 for non-neutered dogs. A NEW LICENSE will only be issued with proof of rabies vaccination and neuter (if applicable).
RENEWAL of an existing license will require proof of new rabies vaccination if the current rabies vaccination will expire during 2021 (the upcoming license year).
If you pay by check or money order, please make payable to “Borough of Somerville”. A link for the on-line payment will be active on the Somerville website’s home page beginning January 1, 2021.
STATE REGULATIONS REQUIRE THAT ALL RABIES IMMUNIZATION MUST BE VALID THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2021. IF THE VACCINATION DATE ON THE RABIES CERTIFICATE EXPIRES BEFORE OCTOBER 31, 2021 YOU MUST GET A BOOSTER SHOT FOR YOUR DOG PRIOR TO LICENSING.
If you renew a dog license after January 31 the late fees are $3.00 in February AND an additional $1.00 for each month thereafter.
If you have moved or no longer own a dog that has been licensed in Somerville, please let us know so we can remove your pet from our records.
