10/16/2016 - October 18, 2016 is the last opportunity to register to vote for the upcoming General Election.

Please note that there will be evening registration at the Somerset County Board of Elections Office on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 8:30am to 9:00pm.   The office is located in the Somerset County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, NJ.

The Somerset County Clerk’s Office is extending its hours to accomodate voters who will be unable to go to the polls on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 8). 

Applications to vote by mail are available online at: http://bit.ly/VoteMail or at the County Clerk’s Office, located in the lobby of the Somerset County Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville.
 

The County Clerk’s Office will remain open until 6 p.m. on Wednesday evenings through Nov. 2 for residents who need a mail-in ballot.  In addition, the County Clerk’s Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5.

If submitted by mail, completed applications must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 1 (seven days prior to the election).  This will allow time for the ballot to be mailed back to the applicant.

Voters, or authorized messengers for voters, may visit the County Clerk’s Office during office hours up until 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, to fill out an application and receive a mail-in ballot. 

Completed mail-in ballots can be mailed to the Somerset County Election Board, PO Box 3000, Somerville NJ 08876.  Ballots also can be dropped off at the Board of Elections, located next to the County Clerk’s Office in the county Administration Building

Mail-In ballots can be returned until the polls close at 8 p.m. on election night (Tuesday, Nov. 8).
