It won’t be long before the leaves begin to fall. Residents of Somerville are reminded that by ordinance, leaves must be recycled, not thrown in trash. Leaves can be raked into the curb where they will be vacuumed up by the borough Public works Department. Please be very careful not to block storm drains to prevent flooding in case of heavy rain.
The collection of leaves will start on October 21th, 2013. The last day leaves will be collected by our machines will be December 9th, 2013.Prior to October 21th and after December 9th, leaves will have to be placed in clear plastic bags or paper leaf bags for collection.
