Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Somerville on February 17, 2012 by 10:00 a.m. in the Somerville Borough Municipal Office (Mayor’s Office), 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey for the “Roadway & Sidewalk Upgrades for Division Street.”
Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid for the proposed project, prepared by the Borough of Somerville will be filed in the Office of the Municipal Clerk located at 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey, and may be inspected by the prospective bidders during business hours effective February 1, 2012. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to be familiar with all site conditions.
Copies of said documents maybe obtained by prospective bidders at the same address, effective February 1, 2012. A document fee of $75.00 NON-REFUNDABLE in the form of a check payable to the Borough of Somerville will be required for each set of documents taken out by prospective bidders.
Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications, must be enclosed in the sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to Clerk/Administrator, Municipal Office, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey, clearly marked on the outside “Roadway and Sidewalks Upgrades for Division Street”.
The Borough Council is expected to adopt the bond ordinance to fund the project. The Contract is expected to be awarded on February 21, 2012 contingent upon adoption and completion of estoppel period of 20 days after the publication of said ordinance.
Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the proposal received and to accept the bid which in their judgment will best serve the interest of the Borough.
Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et. seq.
