Library Board of Trustees
Purpose
The Library Advisory Board of Trustees acts as liaison between the Borough of Somerville and the Somerset County Library Commission. We perform other functions as appropriate for the continuation of a public library within the Borough of Somerville.
We adopt bylaws governing the conduct of our business and hold an organizational meeting annually each January.
Meetings
Our meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

- Location: Community Room (1st floor of the Somerville Library)

Members
The Library Board of Trustees consists of the Mayor or designated alternate, the Borough's superintendent of schools or designated alternate, and 7 resident members appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council.
Members typically serve 5 year terms. Following the completion of the original terms, each member serves for a term of 3 years and until a successor is appointed and qualified. The Mayor or designee and the school board superintendent designee serve 1 year.
