Payroll, HR, Tax and Finance Clerk

The Borough of Somerville is seeking a full-time Payroll, HR, Tax and Finance Clerk in the Finance Department.
Responsibilites
- Process payroll, pension and health benefits reporting
- Maintain and reconcile payroll deductions
- Handle human resources duties
- Receive and post tax payments and cash receipts
- Provide accounts payable back up
- Answer phones and customer service duties
Requirements
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for communicating with all employees regarding changes in payroll and health benefits status
- Position requires confidentiality
- The candidate must be proficient in Excel/Word, detail-oriented, analytical with a strong work ethic
- Payroll, Edmunds and Primepoint systems experience preferred
