Today (January 9), we are expecting:
- Heavy rain (1 to 3 inches) that will lead to flooding
- The heaviest rain occurring tonight
- Heavy flooding in low lying areas and adjacent to rivers
Move your vehicles
If you need to move your car to higher ground, parking is free in all municipal lots until noon on Thursday, assuming the flood alert is dropped by then.
Consider a temporary evacuation
The water will rise in the middle of the night. If you live in a low lying area that typically floods, we encourage you to stay with friends or family tonight.
