We are excited to once again host the Tour of Somerville, a downtown Somerville tradition since 1940! This bicycle race will draw large crowds of spectators who will gather along the route to witness the excitement and cheer on the riders.

Traffic restrictions

Please refer to the map above or the resident notice to see the traffic restrictions on your street. Detours will be posted and police will direct traffic.

Limited local traffic areas (yellow zone)

On the map, streets highlighted in yellow will have limited access into and out of the street. Traffic will be limited to the direction arrows shown on the map.

Full road closure – no traffic (red zone)

Roads highlighted red on the map are within the full closure area (red zone). From 12 am (midnight) to 8 pm on Monday, May 27:

  • You will not be able to drive into or out of this area
  • On-street parking will not be permitted

If you live in the red zone and need to drive your car on Monday, please move your vehicle by Sunday.

Free parking options

If you need to move your vehicle outside the red and yellow zones on Sunday, free parking is available in:

  • Lot 4 (South St, between Union St & Division St). Enter and exit from South St
  • Lot 7 (East High St, between N. Bridge St & Grove St). Enter and exit from East Cliff St
  • Veterans Memorial Drive Deck: Overnight parking allowed until 6 am, Tuesday, May 28
  • Bernie Field Parking Deck (68 East High Street): Parking is free on Sunday and Monday
