NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Somerville on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Somerville Municipal Office (Executive Conference Room – 2nd Floor) 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey, 08876 for “ Bartine Street Reconstruction””.
Specifications and Forms of Bid for the proposed project, prepared by Cole & Associates, LLC have been filed in the Borough of Somerville, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and may be inspected by the prospective bidders during business hours on or after Tuesday, May 12, 2015
Copies of bid documents may be obtained by prospective bidders for a non-refundable document fee of $ 75.00 in the form of a check payable to Somerville Borough.
Bids must be made on the standard proposal form, must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to Kevin Sluka, Clerk-Administrator, Municipal Office, 25 West End Avenue, Somerville, New Jersey, 08876 clearly marked on the outside, “Bartine Street Reconstruction", and must include Surety in the form of a Proposal Bond (only on the form herein provided), Certified Check or Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of such bid, but not exceeding $20,000.00 payable to the Somerville Borough Treasurer, to guarantee, if successful, bidder will, within 10 days after the award of the bid, enter into an appropriate contract with the Borough, and that said Surety Company will furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract.
Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the proposal received and to accept the bid in which in their judgment will best serve the interest of the Borough.
Bidders are required to comply with requirements of PL 1975, Chapter 127.
